Announcing...

The latest addition to our family, of the four-legged variety.

Meet Darcy... She's a 3-year-old labradoodle, and we love her already! Kerrie and I picked her up yesterday and after a very thorough cleaning, she's adorable and smells a whole lot better. She loves to go on walks and is way past the whole puppy stage, which is really good for my mental well-being.

She came from a home of ten children and had to find a new home because she wouldn't stay out of the neighboring pay-to-fish pond. She's easy going and is a quick learner, and we're happy to have her!

Super Bowl Sunday

We love Tom and Kerrie!
Get him, Kerrie!
Smile big!

I actually knew who was playing this year, but didn't watch a single play. For that matter, I didn't even see any commercials. Don't go playing any violin music yet -- I'm not complaining. I guess what I'm trying to say is it's all about the people and the food for me (in that order).

Kerrie and Lara

Happy B-day, Lara!
Kurt and Katie, Wedding date 03/08/08!

We spent the evening at Tom and Kerrie's and had a great time. Todd and Tom watched the game, and the rest of us just hung out. It was Lara's (Tom and Kerrie's daughter) birthday, too, so it was even more special.

Rah, Rah!

Girlfriends!

About halfway through the game, Adam and I had to leave for a soccer game at The Dome in Fort Wayne. As we were driving up, I made the comment that at least the weather was nice. Adam then informed me that he thought we were under a weather advisory, which we were.

By the time we were ready to head home, the driving conditions were horrendous. Our 1-hour trip home took over 1-1/2 hours. We made it home at midnight, and I think we both fell into bed (and I didn't even play a soccer game). I'm so ready for spring!

Thank you

Thanks so much for your prayers for Todd's dad Bruce. He is doing well and continuing to gain strength. Todd and Adam were so thankful that they were able to make a quick trip to Phoenix to visit. Betty took wonderful care of them, and she made meatloaf and mashed potatoes! If you've ever tasted Betty's meatloaf, it needs no further explanation. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Comfort food at its best!!
